Chosen Vines: high quality, hand-harvested, low yield, sustainable grapes fermented with indigeneous yeasts | Mendoza, Argentina
Cepas Elegidas believes deeply that each year, each vintage, is a completely unique wine, and thus each chosen wine has a unique name and label, to be made only once.
Beginning in 2009, Brennan Firth has been focused on making small lot wines with the utmost character and integrity. Cepas Elegidas is an artisan-crafted experience that lives outside of the wine industry machine, built from a purpose to present the grapes from each chosen plot as authentically as possible, eliminating chemicals and foreign yeasts that are common practices in 99% of other wineries.
Inspired by a deep desire to preserve the soulful structure, texture, and aromatic complexity found naturally in each vineyard, the wines are made with indigenous yeasts, no added enzymes, barrel aging on lees, never fining the wines., making them some of the most authentic in the world. As a result of his innovative and unique approach, Brennan has been dubbed one of the most up and coming wine makers in Argentina, and a 'rouge wizard.'
Most Cepas Elegidas wines are available in very limited quantities, with high quality, hand-harvested, low yield, sustainable grapes, for an annual production in the last 5 years ranging from a mere 250 cases to 2,500 cases, depending solely upon quality in the vineyard.
